The Other Side Academy Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
One of Mountain West Commercial Real Estate’s clients The Other Side Academy (TOSA) had a grand opening and ribbon cutting event at a warehouse in Murray.
Utah Congressman Burgess Owens, a supporter of the academy was in attendance.
Back in April 2021, Mountain West agents Bill and Mary Street along with Nic Woods played a pivotal role in helping TOSA find the right warehouse.
The warehouse will be home to The Other Side Movers, the top-rated moving company in Utah.
The Other Side Movers do pick up and drop off, and residential or commercial storage either on pallets or in vaults.
Utah experiences all four seasons, from extreme heat to extreme cold.
To help protect items from severe weather and changing conditions, the warehouse features climate-controlled storage.
Controlled storage can help prevent metal components from expanding or contracting, and can prevent humidity which can create condensation and foster mildew in packaging.
The Other Side Movers is one of several training schools at The Other Side Academy, a residential facility that helps former felons, substance abusers and others get clean, stay clean, and learn how to live successful, productive lives.
The Other Side Academy leverages the success of its vocational programs to self-fund and supports the costs of its program.
“Anyone with addiction challenges is welcome to join our program at no cost to that individual,” said Director of Operations David Durocher.
Bill Street and Mountain West have worked philanthropically with TOSA for years.
“I feel honored to have been a part of this new step for TOSA and its students. I will continue to work with the academy helping its founders fulfill their mission: to change lives by changing behavior,” agent Bill Street said.
This program is available as an alternative to those facing long-term incarceration as well as those seeking a change from the life they’ve chosen in the past.
Many of those who seek entrance into the Academy are convicts, substance abusers, or homeless.
This school accepts men and women, both pre-and post-sentencing, who are ready to learn a new and better way to live.
