Mountain West Brokers Transaction of Utah’s First Food Hall
February 18, 2020 – Salt Lake City, Utah. Mountain West Commercial Real Estate was pleased to represent both the landlord and the tenant in the transaction of HallPass, the first food hall to arrive in Utah.
With 2019 being declared “The Year of the Food Hall” by GlobeSt. Real Estate Trade Journal, there is no sign of slowing down. With nearly 450 food halls expected to be up and running throughout the United States by the end of 2020, HallPass has arrived just in time.
HallPass, already named a “red hot hit” by Forbes Magazine, is 11,000 SF of the latest greatest hits of food trends. With food options ranging from ramen to lobster, developer Reed Slobusky of SkinnyFATS, a Nevada-based company, and his culinary crew have developed all the food concepts at the heart of HallPass.
Andy Moffitt, MW Broker, said, “We are very excited to welcome HallPass to Utah! This is a concept that has never been seen before here and we are excited about the energy this will bring to The Gateway!”
Andy has been recognized as one of the top retail leasing brokers in Salt Lake City, largely in part for his work in the redevelopment of The Gateway shopping center, with over 225,000 SF of new leases signed over the past 24 months in this once largely vacant mall.
Mountain West brokered the transaction between the landlord Vestar Gateway, LLC, and the tenant SkinnyFATS Worldwide LLC.
HallPass is open 11 AM-2 PM, 5 PM-10 PM Monday through Thursday, 11 AM-11 PM Friday and Saturday, and Sunday 11 AM-8 PM.
