About Me

Professional Background

Jonathan Owens is a director with Newmark Mountain West. He represents landlords as a leasing specialist, and tenants with their start-up and expansion goals. Jonathan is particularly experienced with development, leasing regional and community shopping centers, and equity projects that stabilize challenged properties. He is experienced working through entitlements, construction and development, leasing, and project management.

Jonathan started his commercial real estate career with Cushman & Wakefield in 2009, quickly becoming a critical asset to the retail division. He joined Newmark Mountain West in 2019 as a director in the retail division in the Salt Lake City office.

Born and raised in Utah, Jonathan has a deep knowledge of, and connection to the Salt Lake community.
