MWCRE & Reach Out Today Utah Give Back to Dozens of Families in Need
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Each year Mountain West Commercial Real Estate (MWCRE) partners with a local or national non-profit in a quest to give back to a community or group of people in need.
“We are giving back to our local community, specifically underserved children,” MWCRE Chief Operating Officer Nichole Parkinson said.
MWCRE announces its partnership with Reach out Today Utah, a local nonprofit that aids children within the foster care system. Reach Out Today’s mission is boiled down to simply fill in the gaps where programs and systems lack like food, clothing, and good hygiene. Among other things, they provide resources to children and families in and out of the Division of Child and Family Services (DCFS).
MWCRE raised more than $10,000 which goes directly to Reach out Today Utah’s work in 2023. The non-profits mission is to identify and alleviate gaps in the lives of Utah’s vulnerable children and at-risk youth to provide relief and hope.
“Reach out Today Utah is doing amazing work to help Utah’s children and families,” MWCRE Agent Adam Hawkes said. “Reach out Today’s services provide children with hope, and a needed boost that lets them know they are cared for”.
Since 2017, Reach Out Today has provided more than 5,000 clothing items, almost 20,000 food packs, 7,300 hygiene items to Utah families.
2021 Charity Recap
At the end of 2021, MWCRE partnered with Family Humanitarian, and raised about $15,000. Family Humanitarian is a faith and family friendly organization that cultivates, educates, and elevates in a synergistic, circular model of giving and receiving. MWCRE donated enough money to sponsor the construction of 7 boreholes throughout Uganda and Ghana. Family Humanitarian’s work throughout much of 2022 provided access to fresh drinking water to more than 6,000 people.
