Fast Stop Travel Centers Acquires 9 Stores
OGDEN, Utah, Oct. 5, 2022 — Fast Stop Travel Centers has acquired nine convenience stores from Common Cents Stores in southeastern Idaho, all of the company’s locations in the Gem State.
Common Cents, based in Rapid City, S.D., operates c-stores across the western states of South Dakota, Nebraska, Wyoming, Utah and Idaho. The stores feature grab-and-go food items, merchandise, gasoline and diesel fuel and car wash facilities.
The acquisition will help grow and bolster the Fast Stop brand, increasing its presence in Idaho, Ogden, Utah-based Fast Stop said. It operates 50 c-stores, quick-service restaurants (QSRs) and travel plazas across Utah, Wyoming, Colorado, Nebraska and Idaho.
Fast Stop said it wants to continue the Common Cents legacy, and the stores will retain the Exxon fuel brand and keep their strong loyalty program.
The new locations will give Fast Stop 20 locations in southeastern Idaho.
Moyle Petroleum, Rapid City, will supply the acquired stores. Moyle Petroleum entered the convenience-store marketplace in 1980 by converting the majority of its service stations to c-stores operating under the Common Cents brand.
